Sure Sean Penn seems to be a jerk and doesn't care about awards; buuuuut... he simply gave the best performance by a male actor in a supporting role, so there ya go! Is what it is. He was simply haunting in this part, and gave it his everything. Can't not acknowledge it. I kinda wish he weren't so so good, ha!
