ACTOR:  Cillian Murphy, Oppenheimer (rooting for Giamatti hard!, but also happy about Cillian otherwise)

ACTRESS:  Lily Gladstone, Killers of the Flower Moon (by a HAIR over Emma, and rooting for Lily!)

SUPPORTING ACTOR: Robert Downey, Jr., Oppenheimer (& rooting for him!)

SUPPORTING ACTRESS:  Da'Vine Joy Randolph, The Holdovers (& rooting for her!)

ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY:  Anatomy of a Fall (rooting for Holdovers, but fine with it)

ADAPTED SCREENPLAY:  American Fiction (rooting for Barbie!)

ANIMATED FEATURE:  Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (but close call with Boy and the Heron!)

INTERNATIONAL FEATURE:  The Zone of Interest (slam-dunk, as it's the only Best Pic nom here; but rooting for Society!)

DOCUMENTARY FEATURE:  20 Days in Mariupol (haven't seen it, but that's the buzz!)

*though I do feel a little weird about how high-profile celebs are hopping into the shorts pool and nabbing Oscars from "the little folk" through their fame...
