Oscar Winners

And the Oscar for Best Director goes to...

Alfonso Cuaron, Roma

We all knew Cuaron would take this, for his behemoth of a directorial achievement.  And now, for the second time in 6 years, he's won director but has to win the big prize.  Oh well...  One day?

PS, for those who haven't noticed: 5 of the last 6 best director prizes have gone to one of the "Three Amigos" - old friends from Mexico Cuaron (2013's Gravity, 2018's Roma), Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu (2014's Birdman & 2015's The Revenant), & Guillermo del Toro (2017's The Shape of Water).   So cool!!!  (And only twice (Birdman & Shape) has that movie also won Best Picture.  Ha!
